Simplifying Social Media: Social Media Help

As we end the Simplifying Social Media series, I want to leave you with some helpful resources. The following is list of sites and online publications that can help you navigate the social media waters.

Social Media Examiner

The Social Media Examiner is the world's largest online social media magazine. It's mission is to help businesses "connect with customers, generate more brand awareness and increase sales." Their blog offers helpful and practical advice on a variety of platforms. You can also follow them on Twitter.

The Social Media Guide

As stated on their website: "The Social Media Guide is a trusted and well known source on current and emerging trends, social media tools & platforms and social media marketing for business. The Social Media Guide seeks to solve common issues that business owners have, when trying to integrate social media into their businesses."

Their website has a plethora of helpful articles on every conceivable topic. As far as keeping up with their latest news and posts, I find it helpful to follow them on Twitter versus visiting their website.

DanZarrella.com

Dan Zarella is a social media scientist. In other words, he studies social media behavior and sifts through all sorts of data. Then he breaks it down into laymen's terms and shares it with the world. By following his blog you can learn the best days/times to post on Facebook or Twitter, how to get more pins on Pinterest, etc.

ProBlogger.com

Whether you're just starting out or have been blogging for years, ProBlogger is a great resource. As the name suggests, the site exists to help you make the most of your blog. They offer writing tips, reviews of blog plugins, and other resources. The blog can seem a tad intimidating at first, but the information they offer is worth sifting through.

And that brings us to the end of the Simplifying Social Media series. I hope this series increased your social media understanding, awareness, and confidence! Feel free to comment below if you have any questions the series did not cover. And stay tuned for more helpful online marketing articles every Tuesday and Thursday.
